"We arrived before normal check-in time with the intent of asking to just drop our backpacks until later in the day. However, the front desk staff, without prompting found an available room and checked us in early. This allowed us to securely stow our bags, freshen up, and head out to explore for the rest of the day."

Despite seeing reviews which say that the staff are unhelpful and offhand we found that the reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area . "This was in a nice location for both a tourist and business traveler. It felt like a high value. There is an excellent restaurant on the same block in the main boulevard plus many coffee and croissant cafes. The hotel staff was friendly. Public spaces felt a bit sparse and dated, but the rooms had a recent update and were probably more photogenic than comfortable, but still nice. "We stayed in the Apartments, not the villas. The photo makes the villas seem bright and sunny, but our apartment, built on a steep hillside and accessed from above by elevator, was cold and got no direct sun or view at all. It is all tile and marble/granite, which would probably make it lovely and cool in the summer, The furniture was not very nice but okay"

"Very good accommodation in a perfect location. Helpful and welcoming staff provided an enjoyable stay. The range of great food available for breakfast was one of best I’ve found anywhere, but the hot food selection was cold due to inefficient steam heating. A relatively low cost investment in heat lamps to keep the food hot would make such a difference. "

"Great apartment for 2 people very friendly very clean Room serviced every day, reception were very friendly Easy walking to shops and restaurants especially Bombay Tacos which was Indian and Mexican great service and lovely food. The hotel was easily walkable and on the level close to beach, funfair also mud baths very near which had flamingos walking around Great time would recommend "

Aguilas hotel near beach

"Our third stay at this wonderful hotel. Next to the beach and beach walks. Very comfortable and immaculately clean. Rooms very spacious. In quite an agricultural area but near so many lovely towns and cities. Aguilas is a ten minute drive away and has lots of nice bars and restaurants plus a lovely harbour. If you want to eat in, there is a lovely restaurant and terrace overlooking the sea. The best thing actually about this hotel is the delightful staff. "
