"The hotel was very well situated for our needs and Great Dunmow is a very lovely spot, with a great feel to the high street. Upon arrival we were met by the receptionist, Mandy, who was friendly and knowledgeable and helped us with the usual arrival procedures. All of the staff were friendly and keen to help. We had a meal in the restaurant that was first rate and some welcome drinks in the bar before heading off to an event in the town. The room was lovely, well appointed, quiet and cosy....

"a lovely , location for a great family get together. Overall the assistance and staff where very professional except at table service, which was a bit short of the necessary standard. perhaps some of the waiting/serving staff could be trained to a more acceptable standard."

"Very nice place to stay, great in room selection of snacks, breakfast items, teas and coffees. Shame the restaurant wasn’t open on my visit but there is options in the town within a few minutes walk. Overall very very good."

"Stayed here for a night while passing through. Initially attracted by the price which was a little cheaper than others in the area and I try to stay in pubs where possible rather than budget chain hotel type places. Found the whole experience to be really lovely. The room was basic, pretty much as I had expected but was clean throughout and had all the amenities I really needed: tea & coffee, towels, en-suite & shower. Couldn't ask for more really. "First time i have stayed at The Fox Inn but won't be my last, a great place to stop with very friendly staff. The room was fantastic and had everything you need, tea, coffee, shower & my room also had a bath.Plenty of parking directly outside your room. The pub itself was lovely, the food was fantastic along with the traditional English breakfast i had in the morning. Nothing but good things to say about the Fox Inn.."

"The pub’s location is in a lovely rural location. Our room, ‘Old Bob’, with ensuite, was lovely, big and very clean. The room was very quiet and the bed and pillows were comfortable for a good nights sleep. We enjoyed our breakfast and we’d definitely stay again if the opportunity arose."
