"I love the fact that this property was walkable to many restaurants and shops. It was also close to the local free bus service that quickly took us to the main attractions in the area. We might have walked to some, but one of us was in a walking boot, so having the free bus service was a huge bonus. The property was older, but that's part of the charm going to a city like Charleston. The hotel restaurant, Swamp Fox, was fantastic and the staff at the hotel and restaurant were all super friendly. The only drawbacks were the very tiny elevator leading from the valet/drop off area to the lobby for check in and the odd bathroom setup. Since it's an older hotel, the bathrooms were off; there wasn't much counterspace, our friend's room had two odd-shaped bathrooms and the shower heads were very low, which was not fun for one of the guys in our group who is 6.4. At the end of the day, those are just minor items and would not deter me from staying there again. "

"Give yourself these reminders before you go and you’ll have a great time. 1)This is a 20 year old beach resort that gets beat up with the summer tourists 2) There will be lots of kids there due to the great indoor water slides 3) You are paying a small fraction of what another indoor water park resort will charge you. Great weekend trip with our family. Perfect location to Broadway at the Beach and the Boardwalk, spacious room, friendly desk staff, great coffee shop, and well kept water park. Only advice is to make sure to bring your own towel/robe/warm something to throw over you when having to walk between water parks, which are located in two buildings."
