"Older building needs bit of maintenance. Outstanding welcome with rose petals and towels folded into statuettes. No air con and quirky electricals. Breakfast only just OK, could have been better for budget. Stairs, no lift, par for course for Myanmar. Had to ask for basics like tea bags (also par for course for Myanmar where it is assumed you want coffee)."

"We stayed here for two nights with relatives and friends for a short time vacation in Myanmar. Overall, it’s nice hotel to stay, Hotel facilities are new as they opened in 2016. The hotel is pretty green, room are quite clean. They have nice view, outdoor swimming pool, indoor gym even though I didn’t use them. They look pretty good. "WE arrived there quite late, 4pm. It was about to be sunset and get cold. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful in giving tips to eateries and sights. The location of the hotel, on top of a hill, gives to great view of the sunset and sunrise as well as being a good marker for navigating back when you explore the small town by foot. "

"We stayed there after the walk from Inle Lake before we travelled on. We could wash our shoes in the backyard which was necessairy! The Lady at the reception is very friendly. For one night it is ok, but there us not much to do in Kalaw."
