"Hakone-Gora is a quiet area near the base of the cable cars taking you up for a My Fuji view. There are a few eateries and bars but not much else, and the eateries close early. As such it is great if you want a relaxing night and the Emblem Flow has great Japanese style rooms and a terrific Onsen, Also looks to be a good base for walking in the area. We loved it after the bustle of Tokyo."

"I didn't realize this was a hostel. Pretty bummed when I showed up at the property and realized that. Not a fan of the checkin process- very cold, impersonal, and time consuming. "The location is very convenient and nice, clean. Only stairs to climb. But this stay was different as there seem to be long term stayers, with many plastic bags with personal items by the empty lockers, no keys to many open lockers, another large plastic bag at the kitchen blocking the already small kitchnette area in the back with label from "Lumi"? note not disturb. The environment seemed much less welcoming for guests then other stays before, with loud talk and loud walking around late at...
