Depending on where you’re coming from, your flight to Dingle could be no sweat at all or it could go on forever. We’ve compiled some tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you’ve got all the right stuff. Firstly, you’ll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare pair of socks and a magazine or two. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won’t be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of your aircraft are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and don’t forget to bring a cardigan as it can get chilly inside the cabin during longer flights. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are always a good choice too.
- You’ve probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There’s plenty you can do to mitigate your risk. Wear compression socks or tights, stay hydrated and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Walk the aisles of the cabin or perform some stretches in your seat.
