The aesthetics of this house are amazing! It reminds me of my grandparents house and how comfortable and safe I felt. The ladies at breakfast were outstanding and went above and beyond. Everything was perfect for my fiancée and my first engaged Valentine’s Day.

This is such a neat place. I love the Victorian style decor and the Christmas decorations were still up which made the stay even more magical 😊 Sam and Maria were easy to contact. My husband and I didn’t get to have breakfast this time because of a scheduling conflict. All in all, it was such a nice stay 😊

Exceptional stay here. Great location, only minutes from Canandaigua lake and center of town. Rooms are clean and quiet, with every possible amenity and snacks. The breakfast is amazing, unlike anywhere else that I’ve been. I would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous space, well laid out, many amenities! Also quiet, easy to park, and our room was very spacious. The stairs are a little scary, but totally expected for the house style and age. Lots of care taken—best B&B we’ve stayed with.

We enjoyed 3 nights at the beautifully decorated Sutherland House. Breakfast was served each day by Nate and it was excellent! We met people traveling from a variety of locations which made breakfast even more entertaining. The location was in the quiet suburbs but convenient to many interesting attractions and restaurants. We highly recommend the Sutherland House.

We loved our stay here! The b & b was so cozy and the breakfast each morning was great. It was a short drive into the town. They also had a great little trail with beatiful wildflowers lining the property that you could walk in. They provided so many amenities that I wasn't expecting such as coffee, tea, fresh baked goods, snacks in the room, fridge full of drink options, toiletries, etc. If you like b&bs this one is a must stay!

We stayed for one night in October, 2024, as an overnight stop on a longer trip. Loved the place! We plan to go back. Enjoyed the sitting room, it was like going back in time. Our three course breakfast was fantastic and we got to sit with four other delightful and amusing couples. Lots of dinner options locally, wineries, beautiful lake. This is a gorgeous small boutique Victorian inn offering a sit down four course gastronomic breakfast to all the guests at 9:00 o’clock sharp. One of a kind. We met extremely interesting folks both days we were staying, and the chef and her helper were extremely cordial and welcoming. Highly recommended staying there if you have the opportunity! Made you feel like family.
