"We stayed one night - January 26. I came up from Boston with my adult child who had to take a training at the Maine Maritime Academy in Castine. Being January, everything in Castine was closed - no hotels, nothing. this was the next closest place. I was very pleased. THe room was pristine. Looks like brand new carpet and flooring. The room and bathroom were immaculate. THe beds were very comfortable and the towels were of high quality. "

"The Black Bear Inn is a really nice budget hotel if you're going to Orono, Maine. The hotel staff was super nice and informative during both check in and when we had questions about an early check out. The only thing you should keep in mind is during the day the highway is super loud because of it's right off the exit, but don't worry because at night it is super quiet."

"Staff were super nice, i told them i was having surgery and they accommodated to my needs for fresh bedding and towels daily. Offered me a king bed instead of the 2 bed room i booked only cause there was no more king option online when i booked last minute. Overall this place was great for what we needed.
