It's got all that's good about a mal mason by the sea. Restaurant is good and staff are nice. Don't scrimp and pay the extra few quid for a sea view or you may as well be in the lanes.

The hotel staff were, i general, helpful. The food was very good. The problems were, the room smelled bad - mouldy, musky. In addition, service in the bar/grill was appalling. We ate there on New Years Eve and although our reservation was 7pm, it was slow to order, my partner got his starter around 8pm and our main courses at 8:45pm as i was just about to leave. Drinks were very slow to arrive and considering the restaurant was only half full, there is no excuse. The meal and drinks cost in excess of £170 which was appalling and the room was very costly. I would never visit this hotel again and would advise the public to also avoid it.

The staff was very nice and attentive to our needs, I was in a wheelchair and could only walk very short distances, we asked for a shower mat and stool which were there on arrival waiting for us, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant and was served by Sylvester who was absolutely outstanding with his recommendations and drinks to have,breakfasts was first class.

The break or make in any service industry is how you're made to feel. This is an ok hotel, clean, rooms a bit small and far from Brighton pier. The Marina itself can be vibrant but rather dead in November. It worked ok for 2 days. Due to stay 3 but was bored with lack of things to do other than eating and drinking. The walk to Brighton town was nice took about 35 minutes which l did on day 2. I left a day early, reception couldn't be bothered to acknowledge me or say goodbye. I was right next to them as I'd left my bags to bring the car to the front so no excuse. I wouldn't be going back. It only takes 1. The barman was helpful and friendly as l spent the first night by the bar.

Phenomenal hotel service. Restaurant very slow
The hotel is great. Very clean and has an elevated contemporary feel for the price. Check in was phenomenal with a special shout out to Sam, who was fantastic. We ate in the restaurant and although the food was excellent and the staff really lovely, it was clear that they were very short staffed, as it took ages to order, I waited 30 minutes for my drink, and the food took a very long time to arrive. We ate a starter and main and, were seated for over 2 hours. I asked for the bill as soon as our main course arrived as feared we’d be there 3 hours! The staff were apologetic and they couldn’t have done more with the few that were there.

It was a bonus to be able to park in Brighton for free.The car park was just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.Just be mindful of the tight parking spaces as well as the "skinny" up and down driveways. Breakfast is very overpriced at £23 as are the drinks from the bar.

Lovely stay and the room was great, the black out curtains are a must and happy this was thought about. Only thing that was a little disappointing was the balcony in the pictures when booked looked liked was separate to the room, one of the reasons I booked, however was communal area when opening the door. I would definitely stay again and would promote others to booked a stay here.

Ask for beans.
Great hotel, when ordering breakfast ask for beans. Although they are part of the full English breakfast menu they do not serve the beans with the breakfast.

Lovely hotel, very nice room. Liked the tea/coffee facilities in the room - coffee bags and nespresso. Also they offered free drinks vouchers for the bar if you forgoe having housekeeping. Staff lovely, nice stylish decor. Ellie was particularly helpful, made us feel very welcome.
