"Rooms incredibly small, w/o attempts to add shelving to ameliorate the problem. Shower system was archaic. The elevator was out all four days we were there and we had to tote our bags up and down 4 flts of stairs. This lack of maintenance was also apparent in the run down condition of the carpets and common area walls. "

"Overall, a nice property and great service, but 2 notable exceptions. TV system displays over 200 channels, most of which have no content. For example, no BBC channels worked. Secondly, the 2 persons in charge of the breakfast service that I encountered seemed rather unapproachable. I took comfort that was not just for me, it was pretty consistent for everyone who arrived and went to give their room number. Quite surprising in comparison to all the other staff. Despite this, I would book again."

"Expedia charged for breakfast but the hotel does not provide it (Covid). Shower ran very hot then very cold, presumably as rooms on lower floors took water. Bathroom mirror light not working. Table lamp not working - reception had no spare bulbs. Kettle on/off switch damaged."

"The twin room was a decent size for two people, although not quite what the pictures advertised. The room and hotel were clean and tidy. Location is convenient to Paddington station (10 min walk), and the tube station and popular buses are very close. Sound did travel quite easily in this hotel (could hear people talking in the adjacent room, people walking in the room above and the adjacent room door would slam shut everytime), so bring earplugs if a light sleeper. Annoying they wouldn't hold...

"Just stayed for 3 nights in B01, the basement room with kitchenette. Great location, quiet, housekeeping and remote staff were on it. You just have to appreciate the deal you’re getting for the location and the kitchenette. It’s older, but you’re in Hyde Park London. Gorgeous street, responsive team. The bedding could be softer, the pillows could be better, but for the price it was far beyond what I expected. Very safe and quiet with everything you need a quick walk away. I would absolutely stay...
