"This is a lovely lodge where we spent our Xmas family holiday. The main room is great with its wooden beams and high wooden ceiling. We had no complaints about cleanliness. The kitchen is small, but has a useful grill and 3 induction plates on the hob. There are 2 toilets - one in the shower room and one separate one, as well as a separate bath and washing area. The sofa is not very comfy, but the 8 cosy chairs around the main table make up for it. The reception staff are very friendly. If...

"Stay was amazing ! Mr Fukushima was so kind - he helped us with discounted lift tickets, picked us up from the train station and took us grocery shopping. Location was right at the Iwatake gondola. Please note the unit is in traditional Japanese style - sleeping on the floor with Japanese pillows (very different to western pillows). Highly recommend !"

"Had to stay here as changed dates for skiing holiday. While this hotel has shuttle buses to the ski fields it is quite some distance and not ideal. Bought breakfast and dinner package- for four days it is monotonous and not great. Onsen was clean but the outdoor area is a bit small (if there are more than 3 people). Parking is tight but available if you can get your car up the small hill and the counter can help you reserve a taxi which is super helpful. The receptionists all had good English too. "

"The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Ibsen was well equipped and clean. I liked the indoor and outdoor options. Food was amazing. I would recommend adding the half board to your reservation. Transportation to station and ski resort was seamless. "

"Great for our overnight before taking the Alpine route. Can’t say enough about how helpful the staff was. Luggable forwarding drop off for the alpine route is in the hotel lobby which was great! The hotel is very conveniently located across from the train station and the bus that takes you to the beginning of the route. Would recommend to anyone who is taking the route!"
