Pack your beach gear and snacks and enjoy a day at the seaside. The roped-off and patrolled swimming area makes Araha Beach a great spot for safely playing in the waves. Relax with a book or take a stroll along the soft sands of the shoreline, enjoying views of the East China Sea. Let kids climb and play in the extensive playground, themed as a wrecked pirate ship. The exciting pirate ship has nets to climb, a lookout tower, wooden bridges, a slide and a zip line. There is also a smaller playground for younger children.
Rent a Jet Ski or small boat to explore the stunning aquamarine waters. You can also rent a pavilion and use the beach’s barbecue facilities. Grill lunch or spread out a picnic on the pavilion’s tables. A shopping strip located behind the beach offers several dining and shopping options. Treat yourself to a shaved ice, sweetened with adzuki beans and syrup.
Get moving with a fun-filled sports activity. Head to the basketball and volleyball courts for some exercise. A scenic walking trail follows the shoreline to Chatan Park, and is a popular trail for joggers and locals walking dogs. The beach is within easy walking distance of the American Village and Hamby Town. Restrooms are also available near the shoreline.
