"Great hotel, is clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, even though our Japanese wasn’t great, their breakfast is great and overall is a great place to stay in Amami. You will definitely need to rent a car where ever you stay in Amami because it makes everything a lot easier to get around the Island. "Asagohan (breakfast) was incredible. The room was really large and the bath was a great way to relax. Stayed here off-season sow was very quiet (very nice). Easy to get to from the airport by bus. 5km walk to some neat restaurants. Car turned out to be a better transport option as the island is spread out and buses could get expensive quickly."
