Alsace Wine Route hotel rooms a the Independent

"This was a last minute reservation and the hotel was very accomodating. We ordered a triple room and they offered us a double and single for same price. Quite a walk from the Christmas market; but, we had been walking all day, so it wasnt an issue. The train station was across the street so that would be very convenient for some. I loved our balcony!"

"Front desk staff were excellent. Dining room (bistro) staff made for a shockingly comical visit. Over half an hour of being ignored. Got a bottle of wine … finished half of it before our food order was given by me to them (they were standing around the bar waiting for something to happen) - I had to get up, go over and tell them (5 of them) what we wanted. Interesting location - not in the centre of Alsace wine area but convenient to use as a base if you have a car. Parking - across street...
