"Booked a standard twin room with 2 twin beds and the room was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was also big with soap shampoo and conditioner. Was very surprised at how big the room was"

"Stayed at hotel for a random one night weekend family get away. I read the usual reviews prior to booking which was enough for me to take a chance. I must say, the hotel did not disapoint, the staff were friendly, hotel clean and the grounds were gorgeous. When you travel with children it can often feel like your in the way of other hotel guests, especially couples who are wanting that romantic trip away. What stood out for me was that we didnt feel in the way, maybe it was the size of the hotel, layout or just how it was ran but the staff and guests were all so nice, the children were welcomed and the pool area was the biggest hit! We originally booked a double family room but were offered an upgrade (for a 40 pound fee, to be paid on arrival) to a junior suite which we went for, the room was massive with a living room for kids to run around in and a super king bed however the 2nd bed was a sofa bed, the orginal booking had two double beds. I think next time we would probably go smaller and keep the double family room but use the extra money to pay for two nights. As I type im trying to think of areas for improvement but in all honesty nothing springs to mind right now, the kids were sad to leave so for me thats the biggest indicator of a decent hotel, no stressed parents and happy children. Were already thinking of re-booking for easter. "

"The staff were amazing. Not only did we get a surprise upgrade but we were also able to check in early. Thank you Fatima. We were also given a few biscuit etc freebies by the night shift receptionist (I wish I knew her name). A really nice hotel with absolutely lovely staff"

"Stirling is a lovely town. I had the good fortune of picking the Highland Hotel. After a very long drive down from Skye I was greeted by very friendly hotel staff. My room was extremely big! Bathroom too. Parking was easy, I just left my number plate at reception. Likewise I was able to walk within 2 minutes the centre of town for dinner. The Hotel building itself is quite interesting too. "
