"We stayed for 3 nights and it was wonderful! We loved it. Staff was very friendly, food was good, got to see plenty of animals from our room! But be prepared to pay more money by the end. Considering how much we paid for the room, we would’ve thought the airport transfer should’ve been included for free, but nope. $200 each way. That is very expensive. Also, they charge a national park fee daily. We had to pay an extra 1.2K. Just an FYI. But we enjoyed everything. "

"The lodge is located in a central place amongst the vast Serengeti, so it is relatively easy to visit the sites where the animals are located. I found the buffet fantastic with a great chef and helpful staff. Dancers accompanied the evening meals and there was a nice vibe in the dining area. You cannot leave the premises of the lodge, it literally is too dangerous to do so, as hyenas, warthogs or even a hippo may attack you. "The customer service was out standing. They were on top of each and every thing asking several times how they could help me and how did I sleep and how did I like my dinner. The food was incredible. I was escorted to and from dinner each night. They helped me make phone calls to be sure I would be picked up from the airport to my next hotel. Wonderful. Wonderful Wounderful"

"Overpriced substandard facilities. Freezing cold bedroom. Ugly architecture, dark and dingy. Dirty dark and cold bathroom. Window stained with dead bugs and dust. No heaters to compensate. Very depressing. No hot water. We were forced to to ask them to boil water and put it into buckets in order to wash ourselves by using an empty margarine container. Unheard of when we have paid £900 to be in this tacky facility worthy of a YMCA student accommodation Location of the property is very bad....

"Great stay - clean tent, good food, fantastic staff, in the park so zebras on the doorstep! The only issues were that a) the bathrooms have no doors - which isnt good when you are 3 friends staying in 1 room - and there is a doorframe so goodness knows why there are no doors! And b) there was a grass fire which came very near the hotel and there was zero comminication about whether we were safe or not - simply saying "it will be fine" doesnt really do anything to reassure guests who arent used...

"Spending two nights at Kananga Special Tented Camp was the most incredible experience. Waking up in the Serengeti and seeing the sun start to rise was so special. "We actually stayed at the sister camp Serengeti Safari Lodge because of an upgrade. We had a tented cabin with a nice bathtub, separate shower, nice comfy bed tented with a mosquito net. We could see some game from our balcony and could see the sunrise from our bed, Which made our stay an unforgettable experience. The staff is very kind and attentive. We booked the game drives with the Lodge and it was a wonderful experience. "
