"Hot water heater started to smoke and spark. Hotel told us that they would replace it the next morning but they never did. Makes you worry a bit when electrical items act that way, definitely is a fire risk. And since they never moved us or replaced the water heater we had to take cold, cold showers in cold weather. Not exactly fun ..."

"This is my second time staying here, but I'm sad to say that the rooms I got this time were a little dated and smelled like mold (both of them). I booked two rooms, and the other room had a working aircon, but unable to turn off or adjust settings. I even bought new batteries for the remote. SMCO representative was nice and helpful, but I felt weird leaving the room keys in a locker with NO LOCK. what if someone stole the keys and cleared out the room? Will I be responsible for that?...
