"Used Hostal Roma to break the drive between Santander and Marbella. This was excellent value. The room was basic but clean, the staff were young and enthusiastic and the checkout was quick and problem free. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise with good food at reasonable prices and essential as there is pretty much nothing going on in the village. "The hotel is in a beautiful peaceful setting in the countryside on the edge of town. I could only hear birds and insects. The room was comfortable and very clean as was the bathroom. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and most of the cakes, biscuits and jams were homemade. There were cold cuts and cheese and we were offered bacon and eggs if we wanted them. It is well-placed to visit interesting and pretty places nearby. The staff were very friendly and helpful."
