"Hamilton Island is unreal, the room views are amazing, dream like really. The staff were all super friendly and we had a great time visiting there. Our rooms in the Reef View hotel however were old/tired & in desperate need of upgrading. The furniture was tatty & ripped. This is not what we expected for the price we paid, or from the pictures. "While not as big as Hamilton Island, that has its benefit as being not too busy. Only need 3-4 nights to relax, try the restaurants and do the activities. Rooms are like a standard hotel room and not generous on space. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Credit to the resort for catering for gluten free people at breakfast. Living reef is awesome. "

"I have been coming to Hayman Island for 30+ years and stayed in a variety of rooms over the years. The beach villa we stayed at has been slightly renovated, but is still tiered. The wall switches for the electric blinds and fans work only intermittently. . There were other peoples bags in our room when we arrived which was very “off putting” and each time we wanted ice it took 3 times to get it. "My wife & I escaped the rat race to spend 4 nights at Palm Bay Resort, Long Island to celebrate our upcoming 50th birthdays. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by the staff. We were allocated a lovely Ocean View Bure overlooking the turquoise water in the bay. They had a free shuttle to anywhere on the island which helped when our legs were tired after a long day snorkeling.
