What you can expect

Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of southern Mexico City on this full-day guided tour. From the artistic legacy of Frida Kahlo to the colorful canals of Xochimilco, this experience brings together history, art, and tradition in one unforgettable journey.

Start your day at a local artisan cooperative, where you’ll have the chance to browse handcrafted goods and support Mexican makers. Then, head to the charming neighborhood of Coyoacán, known for its cobblestone streets and colonial architecture. Your guide will share the area’s rich history, and you’ll have free time to explore or enjoy a light breakfast (not included).

If you’ve selected the option, visit the iconic Frida Kahlo Museum, also known as the Blue House. Step inside the artist’s former home to see her personal belongings, artwork, and the spaces where she lived and created.Next, visit the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the striking murals on the Rectoría and Central Library, which reflect Mexico’s cultural and political identity.

Then it’s off to Xochimilco, one of Frida’s favorite places. Before boarding your boat, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant—included only for guests who selected the lunch option. After lunch, hop aboard a traditional trajinera for a scenic ride through the ancient canals, learning about their pre-Hispanic origins. You’ll also have time to explore the local market or sample street food on your own.
