We will start from the fabulous Agriturismo Voltraio Bio Resort where the guide will be waiting for you to begin our tour in the magical woods around the property. We will find an easy, stone path straight to the Annunziata Woods named after a famous Podere named Annunziata that we will find along the way. The 100-hectare forest where the hunt will take place is within certified organic land.

You will be accompanied by an experienced guide of the area who has been doing this activity for years, followed by his faithful companions, his best truffle dogs. Brief instructions on the hunt will be given, along with information on the truffle species found in the area.

The hunt will take place in areas rich in plants under which truffles grow, such as oaks and walnuts.

The dogs, with their extraordinary olfactory ability, will begin to search for truffles underground. We will closely follow their behavior, ready to pick up the truffle once it is detected.

During the hunt, the guide will share information with you about truffle biology, its seasonality, harvesting techniques, its culture, the varieties found in the area, and the best ways to appreciate its unique flavor. Truffle hunting offers not only the opportunity to taste this delicious mushroom, but also to immerse yourself in the local culture, learn from centuries-old traditions, and enjoy a day outdoors surrounded by nature.
