You will hear the story about Vela Spila Cave: the cradle of Western civilization, where climate change has been recorded from the last ice age to the present. You will also learn more about the small Mediterranean town of Vela Luka that lies beneath.

The meeting point is in front of the Elementary school which lies on the promenade. After you meet your guide you will start the tour up to the hill to reach the Cave following the fragrant trail of wild herbs. As we climb, your guide will share local anecdotes and hidden knowledge, bringing the island's rich past to life.
