The Bitterroot National Forest - the backdrop of the TV series, Yellowstone, is an incredible, rugged, and wild place filled with natural beauty. There's a lot to be explored, and Bitterroot Backpacking is here to show the way!

Bitterroot Backpacking provides unique self-guided excursions which take guests on exciting and memorable adventures in the wilderness of the Bitterroot National Forest! Join us on a trek that you won't find on AllTrails!

Hike in places seldom-seen! The Bitterroot is full of hidden gems and beautiful places that not many know about. The hike will involve tricky creek crossings, sections that are very uphill and strenuous, and sections that involve climbing over fallen trees, boulders, and large rocks. Renters are expected to be in good shape with at least a small amount of previous hiking experience! All inquiries are welcome as this trip is customizable!
