What you can expect
This 4 Day Sipi falls experience will see you explore one of the most iconic landmarks in Eastern Uganda (the Sipi falls) as well as the source of the river Nile, the longest river in the world.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN UGANDA
Your Mahanda Africa Safaris guide will pick you up from Entebbe airport (or other specified pickup point) and transfer you to Protea Hotel By Marriott, only a 10-minute drive from the airport.
Depending on the time of your arrival, you might have time to explore Entebbe town. There are many options in Entebbe and a tour can easily be organized at an extra cost. For example, you could visit the Botanical gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC).

DAY 2: TRANSFER TO SIPI FALLS AND VILLAGE WALK
Today, after an early morning breakfast, Your Mahanda Africa safari guide will brief you on the safari program and then transfer you from Entebbe driving eastwards towards the Sipi falls . The 5 hour journey should see you arrive at Sipi Falls in time for lunch. Sipi falls is a series of three waterfalls located on the foothills of the extinct Mountain Elgon. At its highest point, the primary, largest, and most frequented of the three waterfalls known as Sipi Falls stands at 95 meters high. The middle waterfall, known as Simba Falls, lies further upstream to the east. This waterfall has a drop of 74 meters. Further uphill is Ngasire Falls, the third waterfall, which has a drop of approximately 85 meters
In the afternoon you can look forward to a guided village tour which will include a visit to the locally grown Arabica coffee plantations which produce some of the best coffee in the world. Your guide will talk you through the processing of coffee locally from the coffee garrden to the cup.

DAY 3: WALK TO SEE THE THREE SIPI FALLS AND RELAXATION
Today, after an early breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the starting point of the walk to experience Sipi Falls. As you draw near to the falls, you can hear the roar of water and eventually feel the water splashing on your body! If you like, you can as well take a bath in the water of the falls!
After lunch, if you are up for it, you can engage in an optional abseiling activity (arranged at an extra cost). Otherwise you can explore the amazing caves around the Sipi area, which have lots of history within them, including signs of ancient life.

DAY 4: TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA VIA JINJA AS WE FINISH
After a sumptuous breakfast, you will set off for the drive back to Kampala. Along the way you will have lunch in Jinja by the River Nile. A visit to the source of the Nile is possible. Afterwards, you will continue on your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe.
