What you can expect

Our driver will meet you early morning at your pickup address in Tbilisi and you will start tour trip.
First place wich you will visit is Jvari Monastery an ancient temple dates back to the 6th century AD nearby the ancient capital of Georgia, located on the top of a high mountain from where picturesque views of the neighborhood open, at the intersection of stormy waters of the Aragvi and Kura rivers and the ancient city of Mtskheta
The temple attracts thousands of tourists because of its architecture, location and historical value. The name of the church is translated from Georgian as “the cross” and has its own history wich we will tell you there.
Since 1994, Jvari has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which confirms its special global significance.
Our next stop is the ancient capital of Georgia - Mtskheta a museum city which is as a Jvari Monastery also is UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has been inhabited since 2500 years ago and was once the capital of the early Kingdom of Iberia.
In this oldest town is located many ancient historical monumets as Pompey Bridge a stone bridge over the Kura River built in the time of Pompey the Great about 65 BC , Bebris Castle of 1st century and one of the most sacred place Svetitskhoveli Cathedral where was buried Robe of Jesus broughted to Georgia in 1st century from Jerusalem.
During the tour in Mtskheta we will walk from the parking lot to the historical fortress, passing through the narrow streets of Mtskheta full of souvenir shops, wine tastings and Georgian sweets, we will visit the burial place of the Robe of Jesus, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. After cathedral you can walk arround and take some memorable photos arround.
