Your board is your yoga mat. The Schliersee offers the perfect opportunity to switch off in nature and take a deep breath while doing the individual asanas. Yoga on the SUP board also trains your balance and therefore your deep muscles. Don't worry, we'll start with simple exercises, because of course the goal is that no one falls into the water - unless that's what you want at the end of the session!
Feel free to bring your own SUP board. If you don't have your own SUP board, you can rent one at the campsite reception (cost: 10 EUR). The rental takes place directly through the campsite, please contact them in advance by email to reserve a board.
SUP yoga requires your balance, focus and deep muscles, but it is not as difficult as it might look. The exercises (asanas) are adapted to the increased difficulty so that even beginners can take part. So that advanced users don't get bored, I show variants.
With SUP yoga you don't go swimming - so far no one has ever fallen into the water during my classes. Therefore, normal yoga clothing, i.e. comfortable clothing, is sufficient. A bikini or swimming trunks are not necessary – unless you want them.
Of course, it can get a little damper on the board when going in and out or due to waves or more demanding balance exercises. Therefore, it makes sense to bring a change of clothes and a towel. You shouldn't take anything on the board that shouldn't get wet if necessary.
Cooler days are not a show stopper. As long as it’s “sweater weather”, that’s completely sufficient for SUP yoga. We usually practice barefoot. However, if your feet freeze quickly, socks with rubber nubs can be useful.
Still questions? Feel free to write me an email or dare and just try out your first yoga class on the SUP board!
