Witness the colors of the Grand Canyon shift and transform in the light of the setting sun. Spend the afternoon traveling through the gorgeous Oak Creek Canyon, passing views of ancient volcanoes and sprawling desert scenery before arriving at the national park for a light show of the ages.

Begin the afternoon with a scenic drive through Oak Creek Canyon along Scenic Byway 89a, one the most beautiful routes in the country. Admire the stark change in landscape when you pass through the tall pine forests of Flagstaff, with views of the San Francisco Peaks—dormant volcanoes—and the Navajo Reservation's Painted Desert.

Stop at the historic Cameron Trading Post. Dating back to 1916, this establishment houses a selection of arts and crafts from Southwestern Native American tribes. It's also the perfect place to enjoy a view of the Little Colorado River Gorge.

Arrive at the Grand Canyon National Park to begin the real show. Stop at several overlooks to enjoy views of the canyon under the changing light. Walk with your guide along the rim to visit 2 viewpoints that show off the dramatic sunset colors. Peer across a 14 mile (22.5 km) chasm to the North Rim. As you watch the sun sink slowly on the horizon, create memories to last a lifetime.
