This 5-Days epic experience lets you explore the Namib Desert (Sossusvlei, Dune 45, Deadvlei, and Sesriem Canyon) and Swakopmund – The Adrenaline capital of Namibia (West Coat). This is a convenient round trip to explore the two deserts and the west coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Namibia. Starting and ending in Windhoek with four nights giving full days to explore the dunes and enjoy activities.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Windhoek City to Sesriem Area (Namib Desert)
Depart Windhoek in your safari vehicle with your private guide and drive southwest through the scenic Khomas Hochland highlands before heading down the Great Escarpment into the Namib Desert below, stopping for a picnic lunch at a scenic location along the way.

Day 2 Sesriem to Sossusvlei tall Dunes and back
This morning you will need to rise early for a magical excursion with your guide in the Namib Naukluft National Park, normally setting off before sunrise to capture the dunes whilst the light is soft and shadows accentuate the towering shapes and curves. This area boasts some of the highest free-standing sand dunes in the world and your guide will give you an insight on the formation of the Namib Desert and its myriad of fascinating creatures and plants that have adapted to survive these harsh environs.

Day 3 Namib Desert (Sossusvlei) to Swakopmund (West Coast)
The fascinating drive today takes you northwest through awesome and ever-changing desert landscapes of the Namib Naukluft National Park, including the impressive Gaub and Kuiseb canyons. You will meet the coast at the port town of Walvis Bay and then continue north to Swakopmund where you can enjoy the pleasant seaside location and cooler coastal air for your next two nights. There will be time this afternoon to explore the town and wander along the waterfront on foot, before heading off for dinner at a popular restaurant which specializes in locally harvested seafood.

Day 4 Swakopmund/West Coast
Today is a free day. The idea is to allow time for everybody to do their own thing. Alternatively, there are various optional activities that can be arranged. These include airplane and microlight flights over the desert, scenic drives, fishing trips (both from the beach and in a boat), and many other activities.

Day 5 Swakopmund to Windhoek
After breakfast, we depart Swakopmund according to departure timings and you will be dropped off at the accommodation or to Windhoek International Airport for your outbound flight.
