In Puntarenas, board a fast boat and cruise to Tortuga Island. During the hour-long boat ride, keep your eyes peeled for a variety of birds, dolphins, sea turtles, and whales.

When you arrive at the island, get your snorkeling gear and dive into the crystal-clear water. For about 30-40 minutes, snorkel with diverse and colorful tropical fish around the island. After you dry off, take some time to explore the island on foot at your own pace.

As you explore, you can choose to indulge in extra activities (not included), like jet skiing, riding in a banana boat, paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking to a viewpoint, or enjoying a drink at a beach bar.

During the day, enjoy a selection of tropical fruits, a delicious lunch, and refreshing soft drinks with your guide. After you've thoroughly explored the island, head back to Puntarenas. There, you can freshen up with the showers before returning to San José.
