What you can expect

King Arthur's Wye Valley Walk is a 13km day with 300m of ascent walk and is over some rough, muddy and broken ground but in the main is on good footpaths and tracks and so is doable by most although some feel pretty tired at the end of the day.

This walk was designed by Wales Outdoors and takes in the highlights and using lesser known paths. King Arthurs Cave, Symmonds Yat, Biblin's Wibbly Wobbly Bridge, an Iron Age hill fort said to be the last camp of King Vortigen… all of these will be explored, and of course the magnificent River Wye too.

We have been delivering walks at this location for over thirty years and our knowledge of the area, it's industrial heritage and it's natural environments, will be ours to share with you!

Know before you go
We may be able to provide transport from North Wales locations for this tour. Please enquire about options and costs.
Walking boots, warm layers and waterproofs please.
You'll need a good packed lunch.
This tour will take place rain or shine.
Andy may bring his dog with him. If this is an issue for you please let us know.
Although most levels of fitness can be accommodated please be sensible when booking and know your own ability.

From the start at the wonderful village store we regularly take in wonderful places of interest such as the viewpoint from Symmonds Yat Rock that looks down upon the almost unbelievable Huntsham Oxbow. The woodland is mostly ours as we are, mostly, off the beaten track throughout.

This is a skilfully designed day with plenty of interest for the young and the young at heart alike :)
