Your tour begins with a drive from Mexico City to ancient Teotihuacán, also known as the “City of the Gods.” The UNESCO World Heritage Site features a number of architecturally significant Mesoamerican pyramids, as well as important residential compounds and well-preserved murals that reveal the culture of the first millennium AD. Take a walk on the Avenue of the Dead, which connects the Pyramid of the Sun and the Pyramid of the Moon to other buildings in the complex. As you explore, your guide explains the significance of each site and ruin.

Later, travel to Tula, the ancient capital of the Toltec Empire. Climb the 5-tiered Pyramid of Quetzalcoatl, also known as the “Pyramid of the Morning Star,” to see the massive Atlantes columns at its top.
