The next leg of your journey is aboard a boat on the Perfume River. After a leisurely ride on the fragrant waterway, stop at the Pagoda of the Celestial Lady, a 7-story temple that has become an unofficial symbol of the city.

Next, your bicycle carries you to Thuy Bieu, a town that is famous for its pomelo fruit. Try a taste of this mildly sweet fruit, one of the original, non-hybrid citrus plants. Stroll through the village before joining a cooking class in a local home. Listen closely as your host chef teaches you everything you need to know to prepare a Hue specialty. After you're done cooking, indulge in your own creation, as well as the chef's, to get a real taste of Vietnamese culture. Before heading back to your hotel, close out the day by soaking your tired feet in herb-infused water, a traditional therapeutic practice.
