Amboseli is famous for its big game including large herds of elephants and its great scenic beauty. The mountain provides water for the park, wonderful views and, of course, the most glorious background for animal photography.

The wildlife of the Masai Mara is world-renowned, with the so-called “Big Five”- buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhinoceros – evident throughout the year. The “Big Nine” - including cheetah, zebra, giraffe and hippo - extends this experience. Finally let us not forget the colorful inhabitants of this exceptional landscape. The Masai are a proud semi-nomadic cattle-rearing people with a fascinating culture, divided into a number of sub-tribes some of which share the Mara region. Masai village
  • 3h
  • Admission ticket not included
A Masai village, known as a Manyatta, consists of a number of small huts made of mud and cow dung with thatched roofs. The huts are placed in a circle with livestock in the middle for protection against predators. A visit to a Maasai village is a chance to interact with the Maasai and get a glimpse into their culture, unique way of life, and see first-hand some of their customs and practices. Please note that the authenticity of the visit can vary as every detail is carefully choreographed and ends with a shopping experience. However, this still allows a look into their lives, the ability to ask questions, interact, and take as many photographs as you want. The money spent for the tour and in their market helps the community pay for food, schooling, cows, and other necessities.
