Portland, fondly dubbed “Beervana,” has been brewing beer since the 1800s. Now there are over 70 breweries, plus beer-centric events year round.
You can expect to go to three of these places, subject to change if there are unexpected closures:
Wayfinder Beer
Winner of prestigious awards, including Oregon Beer of the Year. “The beers are a mix of tradition and science, a blending of ancient brewing tactics, newer Narziß-style German precision, and the swagger of American Craft.”
Living Häus Beer Company
“We’re a lager-forward brewery. We aim to make clean, intentional, and curious beers in our brewery.”
Food menu: Pizza from Pan con Queso. Naturally Leavened Multigrain Dough; Responsibly Sourced Ingredients
Away Days
“Our modern and intimate SE Portland taproom has ten rotating taps as well as two cask engines, featuring some of our favourite styles from England and across Europe.”
Level Brewing Brewing subtle, balanced, and traditional beers, with a healthy mix of New World ales and lagers thrown in for good measure.
Savor complimentary snacks and tantalizing tastings. Tours may include a behind-the-scenes look at how beer is made. Cheers to adventure!
