This one is all about paddle power as you glide through the waters of Phang Nga Bay by sea kayak. You'll navigate caves and lagoons on Ko Panak, Ko Hong and the iconic James Bond Island on this full day tour. Boonsri, one of our expert local guides, says, ‘To enter the sea caves, “hong” in Thai, is a wow-factor experiences. An untouched world, created by nature over millions of years. Our priority is keeping the “hong” as we find them. We want our children to also be able to enjoy them.'
Cruising into Phang Nga Bay, our first port of call is one of its most famous islands – Ko Panak. Your guide will paddle you through a network of sea caves leading to mystical lagoons where you can enjoy the tranquillity and soak up the beauty of the surrounding landscape. Mangrove roots emerge in a tangle from the water's surface, and dense vegetation paints the steep cliffs green. Keep your eyes peeled – you might spot some monkeys and bats along the way. Then, it's time to relax over a Thai buffet lunch back on board.
Next, it's over to James Bond Island, made famous by the classic film The Man with the Golden Gun. We'll then continue to Ko Hong, where a pristine lagoon encircled by rocks marks our final stop on the tour. Boats can only enter at high tide as the lagoon is shallow. Here you can take a dip in the tempting waters or chill on the sugar-sand beach. And to mark the end of your adventurous day, the crew will serve up freshly prepared Thai chicken on the way back to harbour.
