Become a volcanologist for a day inside a real volcano.
The Espai Cràter is a multidisciplinary center that displays information and research on volcanoes, earth sciences and their impact on society. The center houses several buildings on its campus, including the Sala Magma, which hosts various cultural and corporate events. Other buildings are the Bufador Classroom, reserved for educational activities, and the Seismic Zone, designed for work and research in the field of volcanology.
Formed from the geological remains of a dormant volcano, this fully interactive experience at Espai Cràter features state-of-the-art audiovisual displays, immersive experiences, educational games, and video mapping to better understand the inner workings of volcanoes.
Don't forget to take a look at the 15 m2 model that explains the geological formation of La Garrotxa, the best example of volcanic terrain in Spain.
