Start the day by getting up close and personal with Rothschild giraffes, Africa's tallest mammal at the Giraffe Center. Here you can ascend to an observation platform to meet giraffes at their eye level.
Continue your Nairobi day trip with a visit to the world-famous David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Here you'll meet a herd of adorable baby elephants and learn about the work done to rescue them from poachers. Tour the orphanage, hear interesting talks about their work and watch the elephants play.
Another stop on your small-group tour will be at a bead factory which makes some of the world most beautiful beads. Significant in many East African cultures, beads are used for decoration, ceremonies and as symbols of status. The factory also provides employment to hundreds of local women.
