An Oxford-trained food scholar and former Travel-and-Leisure editor, our tour designers are passionate about the expressive power of food as an expression of people, culture, and place. This food tour aims to give participants tastes of the broad and diverse food communities of Montreal. Depending the day of week, you'll get to taste specialties from Portugal, Eastern Europe, China, Italian, Quebecois, and Jewish food cultures. You'll also explore Montreal's iconic food markets from the insider perspective of a Chef trained in Michelin-star restaurants. You'll learn about multiple food communities and the bold flavours they add to Montreal. You'll see how local cooks and Chefs shop for themselves and for their restaurants at butchers, cheesemongers, artisan pastry makers and bakers.
