Between Vignola and Santa Teresa di Gallura the red granite of a beautiful promontory suddenly interrupts the flat and homogeneous trend of the coast.
This is Monti Russu, a relief that rises isolated, rising to 90 m, between the beautiful beach of La Piana (better known as Spiaggia di Monte Russu and Lu Caloni, a small gulf full of fabulous rocky inlets.
From the highest point you can observe the most beautiful and evocative area where the very lively rock presents itself with infinite small spiers.
Here the walls fall towards the sea below with truly incredible views.
The ancient lookout erected at the time of the last war constitutes an excellent panoramic point, from which you can observe a cobalt blue sea with brighter shades near the rock which can be seen continuing deep under water where some electric neon lights they seem to illuminate from below.
In this context it is possible to do a circular excursion which allows you to visit the whole area in a complete way.
The itinerary is full of surprises, it changes appearance and views very often and includes two swimming stops in two different points.
