With us, you'll learn how to make authentic Japanese Mochi sweets by simple and easy method.
You don't need to bring anything! Everything you need is provided at the lesson.

We open everyday including weekends!
This is a private lesson (if your booking is more than 3 people), therefore you can learn step by step at your pace. Classes take place in a private residence where you can relaxed in a cozy atmosphere.

My cooking class is held in a small local town, where you can enjoy visiting lots of local shops, supermarkets, cafes, shrine and even famous public bath!, before and after the lesson. You will encounter a more peaceful Japanese neighborhood as opposed to the busy city life!

The menu is made from plant-based products. This class is appropriate for vegetarians with vegan options available.

Downloadable recipe is available. So, you can recreate them easily for your family and friends after gone back home!
We use simple ingredients that are available in your own country.

  • We have two short hair cats(they stay in the bedroom during a lesson). We don' t recommend to the person who has strong allergy to cats.

Activity itinerary

Since our recipe are simple and easy, you can recreate them by yourself for your family and friends after you return to your country. Ingredients are also easily available in your own country, and are made from plant-based products, this class is appropriate for vegetarians, too. In addition to making Mochi and Wagashi, we will also introduce the history of Mochi. We will teach you various ways to eat Mochi. In my lesson, you can learn how to make mochi using glutinous rice flour. Using the mochi you will learn how to make mochi-icecream, strawberry Daifuku (out of Strawberry season, we use Pineapple or Kiwi), three-color Dango (mochi balls in a skewers), Warabi-mochi, and Isobe-mochi. After the lesson, you can taste your creations with Japanese green tea or Hojicha (roasted green tea), or take them with you in a special box.
