Overview

Kitesurfing is a quite new sport, it’s about riding on a modified surfboard while holding on to a specially designed kite, using the wind for propulsion. Thinking of the kite we can think of the Hawaiian, Brazilian or South African beaches and few can imagine that the most famous place for the practice of this sport in Europe is right in the province of Trapani and is called Stagnone.Stagnone natural reserve is the suggestive Marsala lagoon which includes the islands of Mozia, Isola Grande or Lunga, Schola and Santa Maria. Known to many for the herons the windmills and the amazing sunsets. The lagoon has an average depth of 30/40 cm so that you can come back by foot even if you are hundreds meters away from the shore and there are no waves or current even with strong wind. This combination of shallow and flat water and a very high percentage of windy days makes the lagoon one of the favorite destinations for kitesurfers from all over Europe.

Designated for all those that want to kite. That course is the only way to start kiting and escape accidents that happen when trying to approach that sport in an unprofessional way. The course lasts approximately 5 hours and includes three different teaching levels: A1 – Theory, Kite Settings, Kite flying (2 hours) A2 – Body drag (2 hours): Upwind & Downwind A3 – Waterstart (1 hours) • LENGTH OF THE COURSE: theory + 5 hours practice (in 2/3 days) • PRICE PER PERSON: 325,00 € EQUIPMENT PROVIDED BY SCHOOL IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE The founders and instructors of Sicily Kite School are offering courses for many years. They are working with incredible passion and have many years of experience working abroad. Coming here you will be sure to have unforgettable vacation, no matter if you are here just for a few hours or for several days. Fun and safety are the main guide lines of SKS center.
