Kayak from Maui’s beautiful Olowalu Beach and enjoy majestic views of the West Maui Mountains and the crystal clear waters of Olowalu Reef. Located in the heart of the Hawaiian Islands National Humpback Whale Marine Sanctuary, Olowalu is home to 1000’s of colorful tropical fishes, 100’s of Giant Green Sea Turtles and is the winter birthing grounds of the North Pacific Humpback Whale. Each year between the months of December to May an estimated 15,000 Humpback Whales visit the area to birth and breed, then return to their summer feeding grounds in Alaska. Our safe, knowledgeable guides have years of experience kayaking in Hawaiian waters. Guides are Certified Hawaii Marine Naturalists, American Red Cross CPR/First-Aid/Lifeguard Certified and are equipped with 2-way VHF Marine Radios. Each trip includes expert education and interpretation of whale behavior, marine science and island history. Whale Sightings are guaranteed January through March….close encounters are common!!
