What you can expect
This valley hosts a UNESCO World Heritage Site with seven preserved locations: the centres of the three primary cities, Kathmandu Hanuman Dhoka, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the two most important Buddhist stupas, Swayambhunath and Boudhanath and two famous Hindu shrines, Pashupatinath temple and Changu Narayan. You will need minimum of 7 to 8 hours to complete this day tour.
Kathmandu durbar square:
The Kathmandu durbar square the most visited area in Kathmandu as it is situated in the hub of the city, one can observe all walks of life from the vegetable market to all types of sellers and market along with the cultural world heritage sites of the old palace at Hanuman dhoka, the temple of Living Goddess all these fascinating interesting places can be seen on a stroll around this area.
Patan Durbar Square:
Patan city of arts another wonderful area to be visited situated on the south of Kathmandu city divided by Baghmati River the city hosts number of interesting spots for you to marvel the historical sites this place was visited by the Indian Emperor Ashoka last 2000 BC and has built four Buddhist chaitya or stupa in the four corner of Patan city however now the city has grown and it appears, visit the Patan Durbar square as it been for 09th to 17th Century, Mahabouddha Temple the exotic Zoo host of numbers of Himalayan species of birds and animals and the Tibetan Refugee Centre.
Bhaktapur:
Bhaktapur or Bhadgoan as it was named centuries ago, means the city of devotees a fascinating and very interesting place located at 11-12 k,m distance from Kathmandu on the eastern valley the way to Tibet Nepal-Tibet Friendship Highway, The place it looks as it has been for centuries certainly you will be in the back of time in the medieval period appearance with age old traditions, visit the famed Golden Temple Square and The Dattayarya Square to observe the beautiful intricate peacock windows and number of historical places this place is also listed on the World Heritage Sites.
