It is the largest continuous ceramic artwork in Germany and the history of the GENESIS cycle by the prince of painting Markus Lüpertz in the Karlsruhe light rail tunnel was already spectacular.
The new underground 365-day gallery in Karlsruhe is special for several reasons: the lighthouse project was realized entirely without public funding thanks to generous donations and sponsorship.
It was financed through the enthusiasm of companies and private sponsors by the initiator Anton Goll, who had the idea for the art project and supervised the unique art project for seven years up to the opening.
