Enjoy a relaxing time in a beautiful bamboo forest with a Japanese atmosphere Hokokuji Temple is known as the bamboo temple because of the wonderful bamboo forest behind the main hall. It is said to have been founded in 1334 (the first year of the Kenmu era) by Ashikaga Ietoki, the grandfather of Ashikaga Takauji, the first shogun of the Muromachi shogunate. In recent years, it has attracted many tourists from overseas, as it received a three-star rating in the Michelin Green Guide Japan, a tourist guide to Michelin, and the beautiful bamboo forest exudes a Japanese atmosphere. There is an admission fee to see the bamboo garden, which is home to about 1,000 bamboo trees about 25 meters tall, but it is worth a visit! From the cafe space "Kyukoan," you can enjoy matcha tea (additional charge) while looking out at the beautiful bamboo forest. Admission fee: Adults ¥1,000/Children ¥800
Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine

Hatsuse, and the grounds are rich in nature, with over 150 varieties and 7,000 peonies, as well as cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, autumn leaves and other flowers of the seasons, earning it the nickname "Temple of Flowers."
