At Jackson Orchards, our guided tours won’t disappoint. As owner/operators we are proud to show you around our 35ha operation and explain the ways of a working orchard.
Jackson Orchards is family owned and operated and renowned for its flavorsome stone fruits and rich mineral soils. On this exciting 45 minute tour you'll have the opportunity to go behind the scenes as we travel on one of Jackson Orchards electric buses and get a fun and informative insight into this working orchard.
Learn about the process of growing fruit, the importance of bees, the rich mineral soils of this former gold-mining area, the reasons why Jackson Orchards grow on “V"shape trellis and much, much more!
During summer you'll get to sample picking the fruit and of course eating the delicious sun-ripened morsels! Once finished you'll have the chance to shop the fruit stall or grab a “famous” real fruit ice cream.
A feast for all the senses and the only South Island orchard tour of this caliber, this is the perfect summer activity for the whole family!
