The Metropolitan Cathedral is one of the most important temples in America, its majestic proportions make it a masterpiece. The Casa de los Azulejos or the House of the Count of the Orizaba Valley, is one of the most emblematic buildings in downtown Mexico City. In pre-pandemic times, it received hundreds of visitors every day, who did not miss the opportunity to take a photo or eat at its famous restaurant. The history of the Casa de los Azulejos begins in 1524 when Hernán Cortés granted part of the land to Antonio Burgueño. However, the property occupied by the house would be acquired after Doña Graciana Suárez Peredo, a woman of enormous wealth, and Don Luis de Vivero, from one of the richest families during the Viceroyalty, owner of the County of the Orizaba Valley, were married. Although it would not be until years later that the construction we know today would begin.
