Know before you book

  • Get picked up from your hotel in Ao Nang, Krabi Town, Ao Nam Mao, Klong Muang and Tubkaek Beach. The exact pick-up time will be confirmed by email after you have made the booking.
  • If you stay at Railay Beach, we offer a pickup service from the boat ticket office at Ao Nam Mao Pier which is just a 15-minute longtail boat ride from Railay East.
  • If you stay at Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas, please take the hotel shuttle boat to Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang.
  • If you stay at Tonsai Beach, please come to the meeting point at Phra Nang Inn reception in Ao Nang.

  • While the monsoon season (roughly May to October) brings increased jellyfish sightings due to water movement, these graceful creatures can appear year-round in the Andaman Sea. To ensure a safe and enjoyable swim, consider asking your tour guide.

What you can expect

Cruise by longtail boat to Koh Hong and explore the island with its natural lagoon and mangrove forest. Paddle by kayak on turquoise waters surrounded by steep cliffs and climb up the 360 degree viewpoint.

Start the day trip with a hotel pickup service in Krabi in the morning. Undergo a short health check-up by the crew of Krabi Sunset Tours at Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang. Hop aboard the traditional longtail boat with your fellow explorers and head over to the Hong Island group. Make a short stopover at Koh Daeng (Red Island) for open sea snorkeling with very clear water and a coral reef underneath.

Once arrived at the main island, named Koh Hong, start paddling on a sit-on-top kayak with 2 seats around Hong Island and explore the hidden mangrove forest in Hong Lagoon. Here you can swim in the cool turquoise waters and spot a wide array of colorful fish and other marine animals. Enjoy a yummy, fresh made Thai-style boxed picnic lunch directly at the beach.

Then spend a leisurely day exploring the secrets of the island, from mangrove trees to wild birds, giant lizards, incredible rock formations, and beaches. Relax at the turquoise beach and soak up the scenery. The highlight is the recently opened scenic viewpoint with a 360 degree panorama of the most amazing limestone islands the Andaman Sea has to offer.

At approximately 15:00 get brought back to the pier and to your hotel with lasting memories from this unspoiled paradise.

Itinerary:

  • 08:00 - 08:45: Hotel pickup in Krabi

  • 08:45 - 09:00: Meet the boat crew at Nopparat Thara Pier

  • 09:00 - 09:30: Cruise by longtail boat to Hong Island

  • 09:30 - 10:30: Stop at Koh Daeng for open water snorkeling

  • 10:30 - 11:00: Continue to Hong Island

  • 11:00 - 12:30: Start paddling on a sit-on-top kayak around the main island

  • 12:30 - 13:00: Enjoy a Thai-style boxed picnic lunch right at the beach

  • 13:00 - 13:30: Cruise into Hong Lagoon for taking photos

  • 13:30 - 14:00: Visit the stunning viewpoint with a 360 degree panoramic view

  • 14:00 - 15:00: Free time for sunbathing and exploring Hong Island

  • 15:00 - 16:00: Head back to the pier and transfer back to the hotel
