With eFoil Waikiki you will experience a fun, safe, and professional eFoil experience. Our step by step progressive lesson plan is designed for students of all skill levels. This is for a group lesson requiring 2 or more participants (up to 10 students possible)
All our instructors are CPR, AED, and first-aid certified, and trained in ocean safety and boating safety. We provide all students with a radio helmet so that your coach is in constant contact with you. You will be fitted with a life jacket and whistle. We start off with a comprehensive land lesson. Where you learn on our balance board “eFoil simulator” how to control your center of gravity and maneuver the eFoil in the 3 riding positions: belly down, knee riding, and standing. During this time we also teach you how to operate the bluetooth eFoil remote and how to safely fall away from the board if you fall.
Practice on water begins with you doing belly rides and practicing using the remote, turning the board, doing some emergency stops. Next we get you to practice some knee riding turns and get you to accelerate to eFoiling speed.
Your next step in the progression is a slow pop-up to your standing position. Unlike surfing, you can take your time until you feel confident. You will practice turns in both directions and we will help you find your proper stance on the board.
We progress into touch and go Foiling. Just like we practiced on the balance board eFoil simulator. You will slowly shift your center of gravity back and your board will slowly rise up out of the water onto the eFoiling position.
100% of our clients have had success and have managed to kneeSurf and stand during their first lesson! Most students are confidently eFoiling after 30-60 min of lessons. No surf experience is needed but having board sports balance will help you progress faster from eSurfing to eFoiling.
We operate from Sand Island, a location 20 minutes away from Waikiki. It is easily reachable by Uber, Lyft or car.
From beginner to expert adventurers, we have packages for anyone looking to experience something new in Hawaii.
