Itinerary
After meeting at the indicated time at Jiron Orbegoso Street, we will begin a complete guided tour of Trujillo. First of all, we will contemplate the Plaza de Armas, an enclave full of history as it can boast of being the oldest and most representative public space of the Peruvian town.
We will discover the history of its foundation while admiring the monument to Liberty and the four sculptures that accompany it, representing art, science, commerce and health, pillars that are the foundation of Trujillo. From the Plaza de Armas we will go to the colorful Cathedral of Trujillo, a building that dates back to the 17th century since the previous one was destroyed by an earthquake.
We will continue our visit to the church of La Merced, in the historic center of the town. Then we will visit the Emancipation House where we will remember how Trujillo gained its independence seven months before the capital, Lima.
Finally, we will return to the starting point an hour and a half later.
